Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • No on-site parking is listed — If you're arriving by car, you'll need to arrange parking elsewhere. The hotel lists a paid shuttle service and car hire instead.
  • Check-in has a midnight cut-off — Check-in runs from 14:00 to 23:59, so a very late arrival could be a problem even though reception is staffed 24 hours.
  • Single rooms run small — Guests in the single room describe it as compact, and comfort is the lowest-rated category at 7.6 even though overall room score is 8.4.

“The location is great for a few days of sightseeing in Rome. The Forum and Colosseum are just down the street, and if you don't want to walk, Cavour metro and Termini are close by. Wi-Fi was fast on all floors, which helped when I needed to work. Staff were friendly, and breakfast had the usual buffet spread – croissants, toast, fruit and cereals – looked after by a lovely, tireless woman. The room was clean and comfortable, with a couple of small caveats. The listing said the luggage rack was paid, but it wasn't; the staff simply kept our bags in the morning. Even in December the top-floor terrace was wonderful, so it must be a delight in warmer months. For the quality/price ratio, we paid 185 for four nights including taxes.”

“Pretty much everything was right. At reception, Gigi marked up a map and split our four days into zones. The family room for five was excellent – two rooms, four beds, a big bathroom, a high-pressure shower, an extra-large double bed, and air conditioning and TVs in both rooms. Breakfast was complete, with every kind of coffee and infusion, several breads, yoghurts, fruit, sausage, eggs, bacon and juices. The best part was the central location, right by the Colosseum and the buses. We'll definitely come back.”

“A perfectly decent four-night stay. The continental breakfast was very good for vegans, and the location just by Monti was amazing.”

“A very safe place to stay, right near the Colosseum and the metro. It felt safe throughout.”
